Hiking
NINOSKHEVI WATERFALL

Enjoy the stunning nature of the Lagodekhi National Park and visit this waterfall.
The route starts from the Gurgeniani Information Center and follows the Ninoskhevi River on a narrow path. The sound of the river, a lush canopy of forest, and a cool breeze wandering through the valley make the trip adventurous.
Take a few more steps and magical scenery will spread in front of you — a 40 m high waterfall. It is one of the most beautiful in Georgia.
The sounds of nature are peaceful and set the tone for the hike. Along the way, there are many rare plants that are home to this reserve: Lagodekhiangentiana, Lagodekhian snowdrop, Julia purusula, bladdernut, wingnut, chestnut, Georgian oak, and beech.
It is also possible to see a few of nature's friends as you walk: roe deer, wild boar, and birds of prey.
Horses

MACHI FORTRESS

The route begins at the administration center in the village of Matsimi where you will be assigned reserved horses and/or check in with a personal ID. Once on horseback (or by foot), you will head towards the dark gorge.
The path leads you through a magical forest of Oriental hornbeam and carpet-like moss that resembles a fur coat laid over bare stones. It feels like a fairy tale turned into reality.
You will continue through mixed beech trees and cross a small river followed by a path going up the mountain slope towards the fortress. If you are on horseback, you will dismount and hike to the church by foot, approximately 45 minutes up a moderate hill.
The fortress of Kakheti is from the medieval age and is surrounded by walls. Inside you will find the structure of a noble family's church with underground pathways and the ruins of buildings reenacting the pictures of a forgotten ancient past.
